A story about Cashmere

In our travels we always find something special.
This time, it's something warm.

In February 2017 while scouting for new handbag Brands in Tuscany, we met two
young entrepreneurs who spent the past 10 years building a new way to
manufacture cashmere. Minimum waste and energy efficient.

We didn't think twice and we joined forces.

Meet ALÉA

Alea is a sustainable, direct to consumer Cashmere brand.
We manufacture 'to order' so that we only use the wool that is necessary avoiding
waste of product and energy. We have built a process that allows us to deliver
Made in Italy Cashmere in only 20 days.

Not all cashmere is equal.
This is how we do it.

Cashmere's value is determined by it's length and
fineness; a longer fiber with a fineness within 14
and 19 microns is of a higher quality and is less
inclined to produce "bobbles".

The thread

We have selected Nm 2/28 count yarn,
one of the finest, to create our collection
in various gauges.

in Details

We know it's the details that make the difference,
which is why we have made our seams strong
and our ribbed knit thick and sturdy.

Unaltered Colors
